Beta Omega Cleans Up at IFC Awards Banquet

On February 24^th, our executive team and distinguished alumni gathered at the HUB on campus for the annual University of Washington Interfraternity Council Awards Banquet. The purpose of the awards is to acknowledge and congratulate chapters of excellence and individual members. Beta Theta Pi received the following accolades:

Outstanding New Member – Sean Burnstead, PC 08 Freshman
Chapter Officer of the Year – Rob Meussner, PC 06 Junior (Former Risk Manager, Vice President, Rush Chair)

Overall, we won or placed top 3 in nine of the fifteen potential categories. There are 31 fraternities on campus and in receiving first place in one fifth of the awards, it speaks volumes about our chapter. An independent council made of student, university staff, alumni, and faculty representatives judges the awards. Each award is judged separately from the chapter’s other submissions.
