Mission
With roots reaching back to 1984, the Beta Omega Foundation is our alumni supported scholarship vehicle for helping deserving brothers complete their undergraduate education at the University of Washington. The Foundation hopes to make a difference in every Beta’s experience and compel members to build a bridge of support for future generations.
The Foundation’s core mission is to:
- Unify Alumni Support
- Reward Academic Performance and Leadership
- Attract Top Tier Pledge Classes
- Maintain the Chapter House
- Promote Upperclassmen Live-ins
Award Programs
Consistent with its mission, the Foundation rewards undergraduate house members who:
- Attain academic performance targets
- Successfully undertake leadership roles in the fraternity, on campus, or in the community
- Live in the chapter house
- Conduct their affairs in a manner that upholds our fraternity’s core values
The Foundation pursues its mission through offering two types of awards:
- Individual Scholarships for tuition, fees, room and board, books, supplies and equipment required by the student’s attendance at the University of Washington.
- Grants for Chapter House Improvements for educational purposes in areas such as for the house’s library, study, technology infrastructure or instructional areas.

Giving gifts of appreciated stock or mutual funds is an easy and potentially tax-wise way of helping the Foundation our mission and we welcome working with you and your financial advisor to make a gift of this nature.
- Corporate Matching Gifts
If your company has a charitable matching gift program it’s an easy way to increase the impact of your personal contribution.
- Planned Gifts and Bequests
We welcome working with you and your estate planner to design a planned gift of personal assets through your will that aligns with your financial planning goals.
